Hi Elzabeth
I work in a small rural public library in Crookwell and recently created a Facebook page for our library. I really enjoyed the exercise, and it is providing us with another community marketing tool that can be positive and a bit provocative. I found the hardest part was actually getting people to engage and respond to our posts, and the physical marketing of the site around the library and town is more time consuming than creating the page and making and responding to the online posts.
I found the following information from Mylee Joseph a Public Library Services Consultant with the NSW State Library very useful, and I am in the process of implementing some of her suggestions.
